My History with Makeup

As an adolescent I had HORRIBLE acne! Makeup came to my rescue at the age of 13. Now keep in mind this was back before we had "youtube guru's" so things were a lot different. Blue eyeshadow was cool AF and thin comma eyebrows were in.

The Start of Makeup By Ash

I started off doing friends and family's makeup and had a few grad clients too! In the summer of 2010 I vowed I would go to school for makeup when I was of age and now the rest is history!

Expanding my Knowledge

At John Casablancas my passion soared as we learned colour theory, skincare and symmetry! When I was graduated I was approached by our Industry Lesion and she offered me a gig with Vancouver Fashion Week. During fashion week I met so many amazing models and artists. I got to play with a eco friendly, cruelty free brand too that was sponsoring the show!

Building my In Home Studio!

After that I worked at an eyelash extension salon for 3 months before going solo! While doing lashes in my in home studio I was also working for a department makeup store. Gaining more experience every day, so many skin tones and skin types to do consultations with!
